GROUP: Lost & Found Property on ThamesLink

Hello, I took a train from Gatwick Airport to Bedford on Sunday, the 7th, around 21:30pm.
I forgot my backpack on the luggage rack above me.
It is a travel black backpack with no visible brand.
It contained important things to me and my birth control pill.
If you open it, the first thing you see is a pair of heels.
The phone assistance worker told me that the train went to Brighton around 2 pm and finished there.
They called Bedford, and the backpack wasn’t there.
Please can somebody tell me what I can do apart from filling the missing property form???
Like maybe going to Thameslink station to ask??
Please, any advice will be great
