GROUP: Lost & Found Property @ Heathrow Airport

I’m having a very annoying case of leaving my wallet on board a BA flight, most likely at Heathrow Airport, and not realising till I was home (up north).
Now luckily Ive been able to track it with a tracker I’ve got in it (I have a history of this, at one point I’ll stop being so dumb), but it hasn’t moved yet to the Lost Property section in Terminal 3 or 5 and is instead sat in a building somewhere east of the terminal, I know the exact location but for obvious reasons wont post it here.
Anyone have experience with BA if they keep hold of Lost Property for a bit before handing it into Heathrow? Or is it likely that someone’s just nicked it and is storing it now to make sure no one comes looking before they bin the tracker?
I’ve frozen the bank cards and ordered new ones, but I’d really rather not have to order a new ID and the wallet is quite sentimental.
